Dynamic computing – turn Fixed Cost into Variable Cost.Dynamic computing is a Cloud Computing outsourcing model whereby we provide as much computing power as you need from our state-of-the-art data centres, and charge you only for what you use. This allows you to convert fixed costs into variable costs, and thus gives you more flexibility in adjusting your IT budget to current business conditions. There’s no need to worry about specific hardware or low-level software details. We will take care of everything.
Conventional Solution.
Without T-Systems Dynamic Services, a conventional server solution usually follows this pattern:
- Estimate computing demand and determine peak demand
- Purchase systems that are capable of coping with peak demand
When actual demand exceeds estimated demand, systems slow down. An expensive upgrade is necessary, or a new system needs to be purchased. This solution has the big disadvantage of a system operating at a low utilisation level throughout its lifetime. And when actual demand remains significantly below estimated demand, an unnecessarily high investment in hardware has been made.
Dynamic Solution.T-System proposes a smarter solution. In our data centre we provide a fully virtualised environment where, with ease, we can allocate as many resources as you actually require. When you find that you need additional resources, simply order more and we’ll allocate additional capacity even at the shortest notice. And in times of a down-turn, we can scale the performance down, which means you pay less.
Even better, if you experience peaks only intermittently, we can easily accommodate you with short-term extra capacity.
